Southwestern

The Southwestern Room is located at the southwestern corner of the house, but it is primarily named for the beautiful Southwestern University campus located directly across the street. Golden walls and black accents are used throughout. The king-size bed with plush pillowtop mattress, loveseat and large antique armoire do not begin to crowd this largest bedroom in the house. The wall behind the bed is curtained for extra quiet, comfort and beauty. A unique split-bathroom configuration places the toilet and sink across the room’s entrance hall from the very large shower with massaging showerhead. Both parts of the bathroom are quite private and spacious. This room adjoins the bathroom of the Librarian’s Room, and the two rooms can still be used as connecting rooms through this bathroom, though they are typically used separately.

The Southwestern room is $150 (plus tax) per night which includes a hot, fresh breakfast for 2 and unlike many Bed and Breakfasts, we do not require a two night minimum.

Librarian's Room

The Librarian’s Room is named with a nod to the adjoining library that is central and focal to the upstairs of San Gabriel House. This room features a classic style king bed with a pillow top mattress, along with a nightstand, and mahogany vanity with drawers and folding mirrors. With soft gold walls and rich fabrics, this room is extremely comfortable. It features vintage tile floors and fixtures, including a tub with tile surround and a massaging showerhead. Beautiful beveled glass windows cast prisms of color in the afternoon.

Bishop Rose

The Bishop Rose Room name is a tribute to John & Sue Wiley, the originators of San Gabriel House B&B. They named each room for a variety of antique rose, but only the Bishop Rose is now so-named. As one of the largest bedrooms in the house, it features a king-size canopy bed with a plush pillowtop mattress. With a comfortable Queen Anne chair that reclines and an antique library chair with tapestry upholstery, in-room seating is ample and comfortable. Warm tan walls and shimmery curtains on each of five windows help make this room extra inviting. The bathroom has a spacious tiled shower with a massaging showerhead, a vintage tile floor, and beautiful beveled glass windows that cast prisms of color in the morning.

The Bishop Rose room is $150 (plus tax) per night which includes a hot, fresh breakfast for 2 and unlike many Bed and Breakfasts, we do not require a two night minimum.
