Southwestern
The Southwestern room is in the southwestern corner of the house, and also references the historic Southwestern University campus located directly across University Ave. Rich fabrics in burgundies and golds give this room a stately elegance with a warm and welcoming feel. The room includes a king-size bed with plush pillow top mattress and carved wood headboard and footboard, antique nightstands with lamps, an elegant desk and chair, and a reclining arm chair. All bedrooms have windows on three walls. In Southwestern the wall behind the bed is curtained for extra quiet, comfort and privacy; other windows, with drapes and blinds, reveal a view of the mature pecan trees shading the landscaped back yard. A unique, private split-bathroom configuration places the toilet and sink across the room’s entrance hall from the very large shower with massaging shower head. This room has access to the bathroom of the Librarian’s room, and for parties renting both rooms the connecting door can be unlocked. The Southwestern room can accommodate a rollaway for a third guest for an additional fee per night.
All rooms are on the second floor, non-smoking, pet-free, and open to the shared common room.
